Thoughts

Andy played a big part of my life growing up and was someone who I really admired and looked up to. I have so many fond memories of Andy I will always treasure. I can recall as a child thinking he was so tall, as he ducked his head when entering a room, but I eventually caught him up…..well nearly. He was extremely funny, witty, kind and generous. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I am extremely lucky and proud to have Andy as my godfather and there was no body better I could have wished for. A large piece of my life has been taken, Andy will be deeply deeply missed. Sending my love to all the family. Craig

A brushstroke painted across the skies, Oh captain, my captain, beloved uncle, Leaving us memories of your moustached-smile, Brown, twinkling eyes, quietly unassuming, Thoughtfully taking life in and generously giving it out, “Oh right… yes” you used to say as you listened to stories, Carefully drawn words, peering over half-moon glasses, And big ears for gentle listening. Your voice is part of the chorus of our family, Remembered with love, And echoing forwards through all the years to come.

Andy was funny and kind and always available for a long chat. His off beat sense of humour and his broad smile under his trademark moustache is what I will remember of him when I close my eyes. Although we cannot be with the rest of the family in person today we are there in spirit, through our thoughts and via zoom. We love you Andy. Thank you for bringing joy to our lives.
